The Beckham brothers may be thousands of miles apart and seemingly worlds away from repairing their fractured relationship, but Brooklyn and Romeo Beckham found themselves sharing an unexpected similarity this week — a passion for pizza.
While Romeo enjoyed an Italian culinary experience alongside girlfriend Kim Turnbull during the family’s lavish Amalfi Coast holiday, his estranged older brother Brooklyn was on the other side of the Atlantic preparing his own version of the beloved dish.
The striking coincidence offered another glimpse into the very different lives the brothers are now leading following Brooklyn’s dramatic fallout with his parents and siblings.
Romeo, 23, appeared to embrace the spirit of his family’s Italian getaway as Kim shared photographs from their evening cooking class on Instagram Stories. Dressed in an apron and looking thoroughly at home in the kitchen, the footballer-turned-model appeared ready to put his newly acquired skills to the test as he prepared a pizza.
The relaxed evening came as David and Victoria Beckham continued their European summer travels with their children, enjoying the sunshine and luxury of Italy after touring several destinations aboard their superyacht.
But while Romeo was learning the traditional Italian method in person, Brooklyn, 27, was busy promoting his own culinary ambitions from America.
The aspiring chef shared an image of a freshly prepared pizza on social media while teasing another cooking video featuring his Cloud 23 hot sauce.
“Back in the kitchen xx New video coming soon with @cloud23,” Brooklyn wrote alongside the photograph.

It was a typically polished glimpse into the cooking-focused brand he has been developing online, but the timing was impossible for fans to ignore.
With Romeo making pizza in Italy on the same evening, the brothers appeared to be pursuing remarkably similar culinary interests despite the enormous distance between them.
Brooklyn has spent years attempting to establish himself as a chef and food personality, frequently sharing recipes, cooking demonstrations and sponsored food content with his followers.
Yet his culinary experiments have not always received the warmest response.
Earlier this month, he faced fierce criticism after an old video resurfaced showing him preparing pasta while aboard a yacht. In the clip, Brooklyn appeared to dip a saucepan directly into the sea to collect seawater before using it to boil his pasta.
The unusual cooking method immediately divided viewers, with some finding the stunt entertaining while others questioned the wisdom of using untreated seawater in food preparation.
For Brooklyn, however, cooking has become an increasingly important part of his public identity.
His latest pizza post also brought another Beckham into the conversation: his father David, who has long demonstrated a genuine enthusiasm for food and Italian cuisine.
David previously revealed that he became particularly interested in cooking while living in Italy during his football career.
Speaking about his time at AC Milan, he said he completed a six-month culinary course at a professional chef’s school, attending classes three times a week and becoming particularly determined to perfect risotto.
That makes the family’s shared enthusiasm for Italian food particularly fitting as David, Victoria and their children continue their summer holiday along the Amalfi Coast.
The Beckhams recently arrived in the area after spending time aboard their £16million yacht, enjoying some of Italy’s most exclusive destinations.
The family reportedly stayed at the luxurious Borgo Santandrea hotel, dramatically positioned on a cliff overlooking Conca dei Marini.
The five-star property features dozens of rooms and suites, several restaurants, terraces and a private beach, with its most lavish accommodation reportedly costing thousands of pounds per night.
Romeo appeared to be making the most of the experience, with Kim documenting their evening of pizza-making as the family enjoyed another taste of Italian culture.
Yet conspicuously absent from the family holiday was Brooklyn.
The eldest Beckham son has skipped the family’s annual summer yacht trip for the second consecutive year following his bitter estrangement from his parents and younger siblings.
Instead, Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz have been spending time separately, including a recent appearance aboard Sir Elton John’s yacht off the French coast.
The famous singer has been a longtime friend of the Beckham family, with David affectionately referring to him as “Uncle Elton” after their friendship developed during his football career.
Brooklyn and Nicola were photographed enjoying time with Elton and his husband David Furnish, further highlighting the separate social circles the couple have cultivated since the family rift became public.
And as Brooklyn continues to distance himself from his famous relatives, another highly symbolic change has also emerged.
Earlier this week, he showed off an updated tattoo covering an old tribute to his mother Victoria.
Brooklyn previously had the words “mama’s boy” inked across his left chest in 2018, a very public declaration of his affection for the former Spice Girl.
But that tattoo has gradually disappeared beneath a floral design believed to be inspired by Nicola’s bridal bouquet from their 2022 wedding.
The latest image suggested that very little of the original tribute remains visible.
It is not the only family-related tattoo Brooklyn has altered.
He has also covered an anchor tattoo bearing the word “Dad”, which was dedicated to David, while another design featuring “1975” — David’s birth year — also appears to have disappeared.
A handwritten tattoo reading “love you Bust”, referring to the childhood nickname David gave his eldest son, remains, although it appears noticeably faded compared with previous photographs.
Brooklyn still has tattoos dedicated to his siblings, including a “brotherhood” design shared with Romeo and Cruz, as well as a ballerina tattoo honouring his younger sister Harper.
However, images have previously suggested that tattoos bearing Romeo, Cruz and Harper’s names on his fingers have also been covered.
The changes have inevitably attracted intense attention because of Brooklyn’s ongoing estrangement from the family.
In January, he issued a lengthy public statement claiming he had no intention of reconciling with David and Victoria and accusing his parents of controlling aspects of his life and the family’s public image.
Brooklyn also alleged that his parents had attempted to create tension between him and Nicola, while describing an uncomfortable incident involving Victoria during his wedding reception.
The Beckham family has not publicly responded in detail to all of his allegations, but the fallout has continued to dominate interest surrounding the family.
Romeo and Cruz have appeared to remain particularly close to their parents, frequently featuring in family photographs and holiday updates.
That contrast has made Romeo’s pizza-making evening particularly intriguing.
While Brooklyn was independently building his cooking brand thousands of miles away, Romeo was enjoying an Italian food experience surrounded by members of the family from whom his older brother has become increasingly distant.
For fans watching the Beckham saga unfold, even an innocent pizza has therefore taken on a curious significance.
The brothers’ simultaneous culinary adventures do not necessarily signal anything deeper, and there is no indication that either was responding to the other.
But the coincidence offers a striking snapshot of where the two siblings currently stand: sharing the same family name, the same interest in food and even some of the same creative ambitions, while living dramatically different lives.
Brooklyn’s latest cooking tease suggests he has no intention of abandoning his food projects anytime soon. Meanwhile, Romeo appears equally comfortable experimenting with cuisine during his luxury Italian escape.
For a family whose every social media post is now examined for hidden meaning, their matching pizza moments are likely to fuel plenty of conversation.
And with Brooklyn promising that another cooking video is on the way, the latest chapter in the Beckham family’s increasingly complicated story may soon come with a side of hot sauce.
