The couple were photographed aboard Elton John’s yacht off the French Riviera while David and Victoria Beckham were spending time on their own yacht, Seven, along the same stretch of coastline.

Although separated by around 75 miles, it marks one of the closest physical proximities between Brooklyn and his parents since their relationship dramatically deteriorated earlier this year.

Despite holidaying in the same region of southern France, there has been no indication that the families met or planned to meet during their respective trips.

Instead, each group appeared focused on enjoying separate vacations with close companions.

Brooklyn and Nicola were seen chatting with Elton John and his husband, David Furnish, on the deck of the singer’s yacht before heading ashore together.

His decision to spend time with Elton John instead has inevitably prompted renewed speculation about whether reconciliation with his parents remains a distant prospect.

He later performed at Brooklyn’s christening and has remained closely connected to the family ever since.
