David Beckham has given fans another glimpse into the Beckham family’s lavish Mediterranean getaway, sharing a series of sun-soaked photographs that included a rare smiling snap of his wife Victoria as they continued their summer adventure aboard their £16million yacht.
The former footballer, 51, has been documenting the family’s travels across some of Europe’s most glamorous destinations, with the Beckhams cruising from Spain to Ibiza before heading to the French Riviera and, most recently, Italy.
Among the highlights was a rare photograph of Victoria, 52, looking genuinely delighted as she frolicked in the sea alongside her husband.
The former Spice Girl looked effortlessly stylish in a swimsuit as she wrapped an arm around David, who joked about his wife’s complicated relationship with the ocean.
“Someone doesn’t love the ocean but she loved this,” he captioned the sweet photograph, offering followers a glimpse of the playful side of their long-running marriage.
David also shared a more intimate moment from earlier in their holiday, posting a selfie of the couple passionately kissing as they enjoyed some time together away from their busy schedules.
The affectionate snap came as the pair continued their annual family holiday, which has taken them across several of Europe’s most sought-after destinations.
After beginning their trip in Spain, the family sailed towards Ibiza before making their way to St Tropez in France.
David shared photographs from their time in the glamorous coastal town, including sweet family moments with Victoria and their youngest daughter Harper, 15.
The Beckhams were also joined by sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz, as well as Romeo’s girlfriend Kim Turnbull.
However, one notable absence from the holiday has continued to attract attention.
Brooklyn Beckham, 27, was not seen joining his parents and siblings for the Mediterranean trip amid the ongoing family rift that has dominated headlines.
While the rest of the family have been enjoying their summer together, Brooklyn has remained apart from them, adding another layer of intrigue to the Beckhams’ otherwise idyllic holiday.
David’s latest collection of photographs showed that there has been no shortage of food, family time and luxury surroundings during the trip.
In one amusing snap, the former England captain prepared to tuck into an enormous croissant.
“Gonna need a little more butter and jam,” he joked, continuing to showcase his well-known passion for food.
David has frequently shared his culinary adventures with followers, and the Mediterranean trip has given him plenty of opportunities to indulge in local cuisine.
He posted a photograph of tortilla and pan con tomate during the family’s travels, offering a glimpse at some of the traditional dishes they have been enjoying.
The holiday eventually took the family to Italy, where David, Victoria and Harper continued their trip along the Amalfi Coast.
Romeo and Cruz have since returned to the UK to fulfil various commitments, leaving David, Victoria and Harper to continue enjoying the Italian sunshine.
Earlier this week, the couple enjoyed a more modest evening at a pizzeria in Capri, where they were given a behind-the-scenes look at the restaurant kitchen.
Concettina ai Tre Santi appeared delighted to welcome the famous couple and documented their visit on Instagram, describing David and Victoria as “legends.”
Despite being known for their love of fine dining and luxury restaurants, the pair opted for a relaxed pizza night.
The restaurant’s pizzas were reportedly priced at around £23 on average, while a salad cost approximately £21.
The evening also provided another example of David and Victoria’s tendency to coordinate their outfits.
Victoria looked glamorous in a figure-hugging brown strappy maxi dress, which she paired with tan Hermes sandals.
She wore her brunette hair swept back into a low ponytail and kept her make-up understated, completing the look with simple stud earrings.
David appeared to embrace the same earthy colour palette, wearing a T-shirt in a matching shade with beige linen trousers and loafers.
The couple posed together during their visit, while David also stopped to take a photograph with a group of the restaurant’s chefs and front-of-house staff.
Their relaxed appearance came after weeks of family celebrations and public attention surrounding the Beckham clan.
Harper, who has remained with her parents throughout much of the holiday, has also been giving fans an insight into their travels.
Earlier this week, the teenager affectionately described her mother as her “whole world” while sharing photographs from their summer getaway.
In one post, Harper posed alongside Victoria in a nude crochet bikini and sheer floral dress.
Victoria later re-shared the photograph on her own Instagram account, adding a loving message to her daughter: “I love you so much Harper!!!”
The sweet mother-and-daughter moment offered a glimpse of the close relationship between the pair as they enjoyed their time together in Italy.
Yet despite the seemingly picture-perfect family holiday, the absence of Brooklyn has remained difficult to overlook.
The eldest Beckham son has been at the centre of a bitter family rift, with tensions between him, his parents and siblings continuing to attract widespread public attention.
The situation has also seemingly been referenced by younger brother Cruz, who recently released his debut EP with his band The Breakers.
The six-song record includes several references to family, relationships and emotional experiences, with some listeners interpreting particular moments as possible nods to the fallout involving Brooklyn.
One song, titled Wannabe, is an obvious tribute to Victoria and her time with the Spice Girls, taking its name from the group’s iconic debut single.
Other material, however, has prompted speculation about whether Cruz was indirectly addressing tensions within his family.
Cruz has described the EP, Wear & Tear, as representing a life lived through highs and lows, love, pain, jealousy and frustration.
He explained that the project was intended to capture the different experiences people go through and the emotions they can share despite living very different lives.
One track in particular, Seeing Red, has attracted attention because of lyrics that some listeners have interpreted as potentially relating to the family feud.
The song includes the line: “Been seeing red for as long as I remember,” followed by a declaration that once the song was released, “the whole thing’s over.”
However, Cruz has insisted that the song should not be taken as a serious attack on anyone.
Instead, he described Seeing Red as a comedic take on an unserious moment of frustration, explaining that it was inspired by competitive situations in sport.
He said everyone’s competitive side can take over from time to time, but stressed that the song was intended to be “fun and games.”
Nevertheless, the timing of the release has inevitably encouraged fans to speculate about whether the Beckham family tensions influenced Cruz’s songwriting.
For now, David and Victoria appear determined to focus on their summer holiday and the family members who are with them.
Their Mediterranean adventure has provided plenty of opportunities for relaxation, from swimming in the sea and exploring picturesque coastal towns to enjoying local food and spending quality time with Harper.
David’s latest photographs have also offered a rare glimpse behind the polished public image of one of Britain’s most famous couples.
From Victoria’s unusual display of delight in the water to their affectionate kiss and their casual evening at a Capri pizzeria, the pair have appeared to be enjoying a more relaxed side of their holiday.
But as the family continues travelling through Europe, attention is likely to remain fixed on the person who is missing from the photographs.
With Brooklyn still absent and the family’s strained relationship continuing to generate speculation, the Beckhams’ seemingly idyllic summer has been accompanied by a question that refuses to disappear: can the family eventually put their differences behind them, or will the rift continue to overshadow their biggest family moments?
