HARPER BECKHAM FOLLOWS IN VICTORIA’S FOOTSTEPS WITH NEW BEAUTY BRAND REVEAL — AFTER HER ORIGINAL NAME WAS BLOCKED IN AMERICA AND FORCED A MAJOR REBRANDING MOVE At just 15, Harper Beckham is preparing to make her mark on the beauty industry with a skincare range built around her own experiences. The young entrepreneur’s plans have been carefully protected by Brand Beckham, but a trademark dispute behind the scenes has now revealed just how seriously the family is taking her future business empire.

Harper Beckham is preparing to follow in her famous family’s entrepreneurial footsteps as the teenager reportedly gets ready to launch her very own beauty brand — with the name of the highly anticipated skincare line now said to have been revealed.

The 15-year-old daughter of David and Victoria Beckham is reportedly set to enter the competitive beauty industry with a Gen Z and Gen Alpha-focused brand called Harlo By Harper, after her original choice faced a trademark setback in the United States.

The ambitious project is expected to become the latest addition to the growing Beckham family empire, with Harper hoping to create products designed specifically for younger consumers who are increasingly interested in skincare, wellness and personalised beauty routines.

While the exact product range remains tightly guarded, insiders claim the collection will include skincare essentials such as facial cleansers, creams and other products aimed at teenagers and young adults.

According to reports, Harper has been working closely with a team to develop the identity of the brand and secure the necessary legal protections before launch.

A source told The Sun: “Harper has been working on a name with the team working on the brand for a while and came up with Harlo By Harper. The trademark applications are signed and sealed.”

The insider added that although an official release date has not yet been confirmed, the team hopes to begin rolling out the brand sometime next year.

“Victoria has been guiding and supporting Harper every step of the way in this venture. Both Victoria and David couldn’t be more proud of Harper,” the source claimed.

The reported launch would mark another major business move from the Beckham family, who have spent decades carefully building their personal brands across fashion, sport, entertainment and lifestyle industries.

However, Harper’s journey into beauty has not been completely smooth.

Earlier this year, the teenager reportedly suffered a setback when her original brand name choice was rejected during the trademark process in America.

Back in October, it was revealed that the Beckham family had filed trademark applications for the name HIKU BY Harper in the United Kingdom, appearing to signal the first steps towards creating the future skincare line.

The proposed trademark covered a wide range of products including cosmetics, acne skincare, footwear, clothing, keyrings, stickers, hair accessories and brushes.

However, the US Patent and Trademark Office reportedly issued an initial refusal over concerns that the name could create confusion with existing trademarks.

According to reports, the issue centred around similarities with other registered names, including “Harper” being associated with products such as brooms and cleaning equipment, while “Hiku” was already connected to toiletry and fragrance-related products.

The Beckhams were reportedly given a period of six months to appeal the decision or make adjustments to their application.

The trademark issue appears to have led Harper and her team to move forward with the alternative name Harlo By Harper, which insiders claim has now been secured.

For Harper, the beauty business is not simply a celebrity vanity project.

Victoria Beckham has previously revealed that her daughter’s own struggles with acne inspired the idea behind the brand.

Speaking on Emma Grede’s podcast Aspire, Victoria explained that Harper experienced difficulties with her skin after experimenting with beauty products that were not suitable for her.

“She came to me two or three years ago and she was really struggling with her skin,” Victoria said.

“She used to have beautiful skin, but like all young girls she was enticed by beauty brands and she was putting a lot of product on her face that was not suitable for her skin and consequently ended up going to see a dermatologist because her skin was really, really bad.”

The former Spice Girl said she understood her daughter’s experience because she had also dealt with skin problems throughout her own life.

Victoria explained that Harper’s motivation came from wanting to help other young people avoid similar experiences.

“[Harper] said ‘I want to create a brand because I know what I want and I don’t want other people to have to go through what I have been through’,” Victoria revealed.

The fashion designer also praised her daughter’s determination, admitting Harper had already prepared detailed presentations explaining her vision for the business.

Victoria joked that her daughter approached her with PowerPoint presentations — one outlining the beauty brand concept and another attempting to convince her mother to allow her to get a perm.

“One [PowerPoint] about this brand that she wanted to create because she was struggling with her skin,” Victoria said.

“And the other one was a reason as to why I should let her have a perm.”

The proud mother added that Harper’s ambition had impressed her from a young age.

“I’m so proud of all my children, but you know Harper is very ambitious, she’s very appropriate but I don’t know what I expected to be honest,” she said.

“I mean, she’s been sitting on my lap taking part in beauty development meetings ever since she was little.”

Harper’s interest in beauty and fashion is perhaps unsurprising given her upbringing.

She has grown up surrounded by some of the world’s biggest names in fashion and entertainment, regularly attending events with her mother and watching the development of Victoria Beckham’s successful luxury fashion and beauty businesses.

Victoria launched her own beauty company, Victoria Beckham Beauty, in 2019, creating a range of luxury cosmetics and skincare products that quickly established itself in the premium beauty market.

Now Harper appears ready to create her own identity within the industry, targeting a much younger audience than her mother’s luxury-focused brand.

The teenager’s move also highlights how celebrity families are increasingly protecting and commercialising their children’s names from an early age.

The Beckham family has long taken steps to secure intellectual property rights surrounding their children’s identities.

Victoria famously registered Harper’s name for potential use across products including makeup, toys and clothing when her daughter was just five years old.

At the time, the decision was considered unusual because trademarks are typically secured once an individual has already developed a public career.

Intellectual property expert Oliver Bray previously explained that registering a child’s name so early was rare but could reflect the modern celebrity landscape.

“It normally happens when your career is getting going and a lawyer says, ‘Let’s get some protection in place,'” he said.

“As opposed to the future-proofing which is what Victoria Beckham has done with her children.”

He suggested the move reflected the growing importance of protecting celebrity identities in an era dominated by social media.

“It may be a sign of the times with social media and the whole way in which celebrities are exploited,” he explained.

“In order to give you more levers to control your image, a trademark is an obvious place to go.”

For Harper, the launch of Harlo By Harper could represent the beginning of her own journey as a businesswoman rather than simply being known as David and Victoria Beckham’s youngest child.

At just 15, she is already showing the same entrepreneurial instincts that have helped transform her family’s name into a global brand.

With her mother’s guidance, her father’s support and a personal connection to the skincare issues she hopes to address, Harper’s beauty venture could become one of the most closely watched celebrity launches of the coming years.

Whether Harlo By Harper becomes the next major name in teenage skincare remains to be seen — but one thing is clear: Harper Beckham is determined to build a brand of her own.
