Princess Andre has revealed she deliberately avoids following the endless headlines surrounding her mother Katie Price’s turbulent love life, admitting she doesn’t even keep up with the latest developments because the stories have become “quite extreme.”

The 18-year-old influencer made the candid confession during the opening episode of the third season of The Princess Diaries, offering a refreshingly honest glimpse into how she copes with growing up in one of Britain’s most scrutinised celebrity families.

Katie’s romantic life has dominated headlines for much of the past year, particularly following her whirlwind marriage to businessman Lee Andrews earlier this year. But while the public has eagerly followed every twist and turn, Princess insisted she has chosen to distance herself from the drama.

Speaking to cameras, she explained that she has never even met her mother’s new husband and prefers not to become emotionally invested in the constant media attention surrounding the relationship.

“Mum’s in Dubai right now to see her husband and to be honest I don’t really know much about it,” Princess said.

“I’ve never met him but mum’s love life is everywhere at the moment.”

She then summed up her feelings with remarkable maturity.

“Mum’s love life stories are quite extreme and honestly I don’t even follow it myself, but as long as my mum’s happy, we’re happy, and that’s all that matters.”

The comments came as Katie’s marriage to Lee continues to attract widespread attention following a string of controversies surrounding the businessman.

Katie, who has been married four times and engaged on numerous occasions throughout her high-profile career, tied the knot with Lee in a surprise ceremony in Dubai just days after the couple began their whirlwind romance.

He has also spent time behind bars in Dubai and has reportedly been unable to travel because of an ongoing travel ban, meaning he has yet to meet many members of Katie’s family in person.

Instead of focusing on the latest controversy, she reflected more generally on her mother’s hectic lifestyle.

“Mum never has time to relax, her life is chaos,” she observed.

According to Princess, the documentary created an uncomfortable situation because she and her brother Junior wanted to support both of their parents.

She explained that it had placed them in an awkward position emotionally.

“We want to support our mum, we want to support our dad,” she said.

Katie’s documentary revisited one of the darkest chapters in her life, including her public struggles following the breakdown of her marriage to third husband Kieran Hayler.

The programme featured emotional interviews with both Princess and her older brother Junior as they reflected on growing up during their mother’s addiction battles and mental health struggles.

Princess revealed she often felt isolated as a child while Katie battled personal problems.

“I didn’t know what was going on and I couldn’t talk to mum about it because she wasn’t there,” she admitted.

Junior echoed his sister’s memories, describing those years as the hardest period of their lives.

“That was probably the most difficult time of my life, our lives,” he said.

The siblings explained how they increasingly found themselves caring not only for one another but also for their younger half-siblings Jett and Bunny while Katie struggled with addiction.

Junior recalled attempting to prepare meals despite barely being old enough to cook.

“I remember me trying to figure out if food was microwavable to feed us for dinner,” he said.

Princess also shared one particularly emotional childhood memory that has remained with her ever since.

She explained that Katie would sometimes spray her perfume onto a blanket before leaving home so Princess could still feel close to her.

“She’d give me a blanket and spray her perfume on it and that was my attachment to her,” Princess revealed.

“I used to go home and feel so lonely I would just cuddle the blanket and cry.”

Junior remembered another painful moment when he awoke in the early hours to find his mother returning home while clearly under the influence.

“I’ll never forget the look on her face,” he recalled.

“She was obviously on stuff and it scared me.”

He admitted those experiences eventually convinced him he needed to leave the family home.

At the age of just 14, Junior moved in permanently with father Peter Andre.

Princess, however, chose to stay with Katie despite everything.

She explained that she always wanted to remain by her mother’s side, even when their relationship became increasingly difficult.

“I always wanted to be there for her but she didn’t understand that at the time because she was so hooked up in her own problems,” she said.

The emotional honesty shown by both siblings helped viewers better understand the challenges they faced growing up under the glare of constant public attention.

Fortunately, much has changed in recent years.

“Mum is a character, and she basically has no filter,” she laughed.

“I actually said my show is PG, well meant to be PG, and then she comes on it.”
