Cruz Beckham has appeared to send a poignant message about his estranged brother Brooklyn by sharing a childhood photograph of the pair, despite the deepening family rift that has kept the siblings apart.
The 21-year-old musician included the throwback image in a new Instagram post over the weekend, alongside photographs from the Beckham family’s summer travels.
The seemingly nostalgic gesture comes months after Brooklyn, 27, publicly announced that he had cut ties with his parents David and Victoria Beckham and claimed that his younger brothers had also ultimately blocked him on social media.
Cruz did not add a caption to the post, leaving the childhood photograph to speak for itself.
In the image, Brooklyn can be seen alongside his siblings when they were young, with the brothers and sister smiling together for the camera.
The photograph offers a striking reminder of the close family bond the Beckhams were once famous for, before a bitter dispute erupted publicly and Brooklyn declared that he wanted no relationship with his parents.
Other photographs in Cruz’s latest album showed more recent moments from the family’s European holiday.
The Beckhams have been enjoying an extended summer trip around Europe, spending time in Italy and making memories together despite Brooklyn’s continued absence.
The family photographs included scenes from a mozzarella-making workshop, sunny days by the coast and relaxed moments together.
Cruz also shared photographs with his girlfriend Jackie Apostel, who has joined him during parts of the family trip.
The young couple have been seen enjoying the sunshine and spending time together, while Cruz has also been continuing to focus on his music.
Yet among all the new photographs, it was the appearance of Brooklyn as a child that was arguably the most striking.
The decision to include the image is particularly notable given the extraordinary circumstances surrounding the family’s estrangement.
Brooklyn released a lengthy statement in January announcing that he did not want to reconcile with his family.
In the explosive six-page statement, he accused his parents of controlling the public narrative surrounding the Beckham family and claimed that their carefully presented image did not reflect the reality behind closed doors.
Brooklyn said he had remained silent for years in an attempt to keep family matters private, but claimed that continued media coverage had left him feeling compelled to speak publicly.
“I do not want to reconcile with my family,” he declared.
He insisted that he was not being controlled by his wife, Nicola Peltz, as had been suggested by some critics, but instead claimed he was finally standing up for himself.
“For the first time in my life,” he said, he had chosen a life away from the pressures he associated with his family.
Brooklyn also accused his parents of attempting to interfere with his relationship with Nicola before their wedding.

Among his most serious claims was an allegation that Victoria had cancelled plans to make Nicola’s wedding dress shortly before the ceremony, leaving Nicola to find an alternative arrangement.
He also alleged that his parents pressured him to sign away rights connected to his name shortly before his wedding.
According to Brooklyn, his refusal to sign the agreement contributed to a deterioration in their relationship.
He further described a series of disagreements surrounding his wedding, including tensions over seating arrangements and his decision to include both of Nicola’s grandmothers at the couple’s table.
Brooklyn claimed that members of his family told him Nicola was “not blood” and “not family” shortly before the wedding.

He also alleged that his mother interrupted his planned first dance with Nicola at the reception, saying that she unexpectedly danced with him instead.
Brooklyn described the experience as humiliating and said he and Nicola later wanted to renew their vows in order to create happier memories of their wedding.
The claims marked an extraordinary escalation in a family feud that had previously been largely kept away from the public.
For years, David, Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper had been presented as one of Britain’s most famously close celebrity families.
Family holidays, birthdays, fashion shows and major milestones were regularly documented on social media.
Brooklyn’s decision to publicly distance himself therefore represented a dramatic departure from the image that had long surrounded the family.
His statement also claimed that his younger brothers had been involved in the fallout.
He said that his brothers had been “sent to attack” him on social media before ultimately blocking him.
Cruz’s decision to share a childhood photograph of Brooklyn now therefore carries added significance.
Although the post does not contain any direct reference to the family dispute, it may suggest that memories of their childhood relationship remain important to him.
There has been no indication from Cruz that the photograph was intended as a public response to Brooklyn’s statement.
Instead, it appeared among a collection of ordinary holiday photographs, meaning it could simply have been a nostalgic look back at the siblings’ younger years.
Nevertheless, the timing is bound to attract attention because Brooklyn has remained notably absent from the family’s summer gatherings.
David and Victoria have continued travelling with their younger children, while Brooklyn and Nicola have spent time separately.
The family recently enjoyed time aboard David and Victoria’s £16million yacht, with Cruz, Romeo, Harper and their respective partners joining them.
Brooklyn was not present.
David and Victoria also recently enjoyed a romantic evening together in Portofino, returning to a hotel they had visited almost three decades earlier.
David revealed that the couple had stayed there in 1997, before their relationship had become widely known.
“29 years ago we came to Portofino to this hotel before anyone knew we were dating and here we are back again,” he wrote.
The nostalgic trip provided another reminder of the couple’s long history together, which began when David first became interested in Victoria after seeing her in the Spice Girls’ music video for Say You’ll Be There.
Their relationship quickly developed, with the couple becoming engaged in January 1998.
They married the following year in a lavish ceremony that cemented their status as one of Britain’s most recognisable celebrity couples.
Over the years, David and Victoria built an international family and business empire around the Beckham name.:max_bytes(150000):strip_icc()/beckham-family-1-102225-da9982b0d52c4f94a92c96ac2c297e14.jpg)
That public identity is precisely what Brooklyn has criticised.
In his January statement, he said that “Brand Beckham” had been prioritised over family relationships, claiming that appearances, publicity and social media had become central to family life.
He said he and Nicola wanted something fundamentally different.
“My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation,” he wrote.
“All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”
The statement was not accompanied by a public response from David and Victoria.
Instead, the couple have continued with their lives and family activities, regularly sharing photographs featuring their younger children.
Romeo and Cruz have also continued their own careers, while Harper has remained a familiar presence in her parents’ social media posts.
The contrast between those images and Brooklyn’s absence has only fuelled interest in the family’s ongoing rift.
Meanwhile, Nicola has continued to publicly support her husband.
She recently shared a photograph of Brooklyn as she documented her own summer, demonstrating that he remains an important part of her social media life.
The couple have consistently presented a united front since their wedding in 2022, despite the controversy surrounding their relationship with the Beckham family.
Cruz’s latest post therefore offers a different glimpse into the complicated situation.
Rather than focusing on the dispute, he chose to include an image from a time when the siblings were children, long before fame, relationships and business interests became part of their lives.
The photograph captures a simpler period when Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper were growing up together under the intense spotlight surrounding their famous parents.
For fans who remember the family during those years, the image is likely to be particularly poignant.
It serves as a reminder that behind the headlines about “Brand Beckham” and the bitter accusations are siblings who shared a childhood and countless family memories.
Whether Cruz’s decision to share the photograph was simply nostalgic or intended as a subtle message to Brooklyn remains unclear.
There has been no public indication that the brothers have reconciled.
Brooklyn’s estrangement from his family appears to remain unresolved, and his absence from the family’s European summer has been conspicuous.
But Cruz’s decision to put that childhood memory back in front of his millions of followers shows that, whatever has happened between the siblings as adults, the shared history of the Beckham children has not disappeared.
And for a family whose private disagreements have become a very public saga, one small photograph of four smiling children may ultimately say more than any carefully worded statement.
